The ISSE member facilities offer a wealth of Sample Environment Equipment (SEE) to cater a broad range of user communities. Despite specialties that can only be found on individual facilities even the more common SEE might vary. It can be quite challenging to our users to find the best instrumentation for their scientific question.
In this committee, we would like to discuss the prospects and challenges of a common database on the available Sample Environment Equipment at our member facilities. We would like to explore the implementation of such a system to the benefit of all ISSE members as well as to our user base.
