The 13th International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation (SRI 2018) will be hosted by the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) from June 10 to 15, 2018. Among the numerous topics which will be discussed, there will be in-situ/operando techniques, high-pressure methods and the combination of IR with X-rays.

The abstract submission deadline is February 15 and the early-bird registration deadline is April 15.

Following a first poll, two logos have been selected amongst more than 10. After some refinement performed by our colleagues from Oak Ridge to comply with standards, we are now glad to present the final 2 candidates.

10th edition of the ISSE Workshop

The successful series of the International Workshop on Sample Environment at Scattering Facilities will celebrate its 10th edition in Potsdam and Berlin, Germany from September 2 to 7, 2018.

The Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, housing the neutron facility BER II in Berlin-Wannsee (Lise-Meitner Campus) and the X-ray synchrotron facility BESSY II in Berlin-Adlershof (W.C. Röntgen Campus), invites technicians, engineers and scientists from all over the world to discuss and present novel sample environment equipment and related topics.

2nd ISSE training school program released

The second biennial ISSE training school on sample environments will be held from Monday, November 13 to Friday, November 17 at the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR). This time, the training school will be devoted to soft matter sample environments.

The program is now available: plenary talks on x-ray and neutron techniques, many practical sessions and topical discussions to encourage discussion and interaction on a range of sample environment related topics. The organisers are looking forward to an interesting and productive time.
